So why volunteer;

- Gain new skills which might improve your CV

- Get back out there after having a break e.g. having had children etc

- Test the waters before making a career change

- Make new friends

- Feel part of a group

- Have the chance to help out a charity or a cause that is particularly close to your heart

- Give something back to the local community

- Help those less fortunate

- Gain confidence

- To have fun!
