SEAP provide support to people, through advocacy, who need support to communicate with social service or health care professionals. They help those who may be vulnerable - through ill health, mental illness, a learning disability, being elderly or a carer – to have an effective say in the care they receive and how they live. SEAP are currently looking for volunteers to support them including a Marketing volunteer to help spread the word about seAp and advocacy. This will involve contacting relevant organisations, distributing leaflets and posters, helping with seAp stalls at outreach events and speaking to groups and seAp and the work they do. Volunteers are needed who are good public speakers, who are outgoing and happy to talk about advocacy (following induction and training.) This role is home based and out and about in the community on an ad hoc basis, when events take place.

Norwood is the largest Jewish charity in the UK and supports vulnerable children and adults with learning disabilities. Ravenswood is their Berkshire home, based between Wokingham and Crowthorne and is home to approximately 140 adults with learning disabilities.  They are looking for two volunteer Editors to produce the charities monthly newsletter. This will involve writing articles, taking photographs, producing the layout and printing the final magazine. They need both volunteers to be able to commit to a minimum of two days and the role will be based at Ravenswood Village in Crowthorne.
